About & privacy
Discover Your World is a set of free, small web apps that each look at one place from a different angle: the night sky, noise, wildlife, events, what's blooming, local history, trail shade and the view from a plane. Pick a spot here once and every app opens right there.
Privacy: your location, chosen spot and saved spots stay in this browser (in the page address and local storage). There are no accounts and no tracking. To fetch place names, weather and other data, the coordinates of the spot you pick are sent to the public data services listed below each app (for example Open-Meteo, iNaturalist and BigDataCloud), the same way any map site does.
Tip: add this page to your home screen to use it like an app.
